Stephanie Amann
While completing her studies at the College of Design, University of Minnesota, Stephanie Amann developed an unconventional path and expression that is genuinely unclassifiable. She focused her studies on a Bachelor of Science in Clothing Design with minors in Spanish and Business from the Carlson School of Management. She lived in Barcelona, traveled and presented at a symposium at Hong-Ik University in Seoul, South Korea; then following the
apprenticeships, internships, corporate work, and graduation, she ventured out to explore the
continent of South America. Stephanie traveled to a multitude of regions and cultures, choosing ultimately to work closely with el Centro del Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco, CTTC, and the traditional weaving communities in the Peruvian Andes. After a year of volunteer work and
exploration, she continued to expand as a designer; she studied at London's renowned Central Saint Martin's and worked with the likes of Cirque du Soleil and Rebecca Taylor. Ultimately, settling down in Brooklyn and focusing on the culmination of her experiences to create Siedlel.
